To children, parents and teachers in
Idete Intellectualy Impaired Children
From
SkanderborgSvalerne
and
Gjesing Fritidsskole
School for mentaly handicaped adults

Two students (mentaly handicaped) outside Gjesing Fritidsskole on their way to make movies. The students are adults, from 18 years up to ?, and they only come for a weekend or some lessons a week.
On the 3rd of February 2007 SkanderborgSvalerne gave a concert and collected money for your school in Idete. This is from the concert. We got 1200 kr. = 220 USD which Henning and Bue brings to you.

After the concert Kristen and Bue showed the movie “Ugali for dinner” in the cinema. Skanderborg DK.
SkanderborgSvalerne is a music group playing Danish popular music and also we know a song I Swahili “Na Eva wetu” we learned from Adolfina from Ifakara.

These two photos of SkanderborgSvalerne are from a performance at a big music festival in 2006.
In the classroom at Gjesing Fritidsskole (Gjesing is the name of the village, and Fritidsskole means spare time school) where Svend (head of the unit) gives a speech to the students at a party.

Three students working in the IT room. They can go to the internet, or play games or perhaps write diary.
Students sitting in the garden in the nighttime making twistbread.

Here is a photo of a weekend course group. Goodbye to you.

Dear Lucas Michael Liombechi
and children at “Idete Intellectualy Impaired Children”.
I hope you are well with your family and your “Intellectualy Impaired Children”.
My school is for Intellectualy Impaired Adults, and the school has once before sent you money to help your project to become a success. And we would like to be your friends.
This time it is a group in my school, SkanderborgSvalerne, that has made a concert and collected 220 USD to your school.
SkanderborgSvalerne
has their own homepage: www.skanderborgsvalerne.dk
, hvere you can see more about the group. It is mainly in danish, but there
is also an english resume. And a lot of photos.
Gjesing Fritidsskole has a hompage: www.fritidsskole.dk or just www.gje.dk if you have access to internet, perhaps you can see more photos telling about the school.
We thank you for the letter we got in march and we are looking forward to hear more about the project.
